Here I am back at The Hub again. I really like the area here as it makes me feel at ease. No need to worry about the jam, overcrowded, car noises and most importantly the parking. However, at The Hub there is one cafe that is making its hype over the past few months for its cakes and coffee, the cafe is Kooky Cream.
The moment when I walked into Kooky Cream, I really adored the minimalistic theme of the cafe. From the neutral colour palette, wooden furniture, to the number of succulent plants they decorated in the place. The cafe is not huge but constantly full over the weekend, they only have limited tables and chairs, plus because of Covid-19, people have to wait for a seat outside of the cafe. Moreover, if you are creative enough, you can find a nice angle to capture some beautiful photos for you to keep or upload on social media.
There are many different kinds of cakes for you to choose from which are all made fresh on the day.
- Lychee Rose Cake RM16
One of their best selling Rose Lychee Cake. It is a cake with rose-infused sponge cake, layer with fresh cream, fresh Korean strawberries and lychees, and generously topped with more strawberries, lychees and dried rose petals. The number of lychees and strawberries that are packed in the cake will make you feel like you paid for what you get. The fruits go well together and the cake is nice and fluffy. The fragrance of lychee was really strong which I really love. The cake is really beautiful garnished with fresh strawberries and lychee. Each bite is soft and is infused with lychee and rose taste which gives you the soft and refreshing feel. The sweetness level is at a minimal level and the taste was just right.
- Blueberry Lime Cheesecake RM13
I also gave this delectable looking cake a try and I am very happy to say that this delicious cake is unexpectedly lip-smacking. Light and refreshing blueberry lime cheesecake are made from a smooth Blueberry Cheesecake layer and a Lime cheesecake layer with a crunchy Oreo base. The Blueberry Lime Cheesecake infused with blueberries and topped with blueberries, lime and lime zest. A sweet, creamy and tangy combination which brings out the sweet and sour taste. The taste of the cake is well blended as it is not too sweet and not too sour. The texture of the cake is soft and creamy. Overall the cake was just delightful! I would definitely give 9 out of 10 to this Blueberry Lime Cheesecake.
- Earl Grey Tea Cake RM13
Here is also another delicious treat at Kooky Cream that I personally love and would give 5 stars to it. It is the Earl Grey Tea Cake and if you are an Earl Grey tea lover, this cake would definitely be in your favourite list. A deliciously moist cake layered with an earl grey infused cream sprinkled delicately with edible rose petals for extra floral fragrance. It has a light and soft texture of the pound cake. The cake was not really sweet but the taste of the cake was delicious. The outlook of the cake is just gorgeous and the cake was very fragrant. It is a classic cake that is perfect for teatime!
Overall, I really like the environment and the cakes they served. And I was really pleased with the price to portion ratio as well. I think I will visit Kooky Cream to try other cakes. If you are also looking for a nice place to enjoy dessert around Klang Valley, well this might be a suitable place for you.
